The electric bicycle according to claim 2, wherein the controller is programmed to determine a maximum cooling distance for the driver to ensure that the battery will have sufficient charge to reach a predetermined destination based on at least the battery level and provide instructions for increasing engine power when the distance to the destination is less than the maximum cooling distance for the driver.
